In 1969 Peter Cicale was introduced to the fitness industry when he was hired on with European Health Clubs in New York as a fitness instructor.

“I actually wasn’t hired as a trainer immediately” Peter noted” My first months there I did nothing but clean lockers, hand out towels to the members, and maintain and wipe down the equipment. But once I was given the opportunity to start training members…I knew what I wanted to do for the rest of my life”

Peter resumed his passion in Florida where he was employed by Vic Tanny Health Clubs. His energy and enthusiasm was quickly recognized and rewarded as he was promoted into management. and eventually Area Director, responsible for the daily operation of 8 clubs.

It didn’t take long for Peter to be the master of his own destiny…. He opened Olympia Gym in 1978 and has never looked back.

Today, Peter and his wife Delia (who also works as Olympia’s Aerobic Coordinator) continue to stay on top as leaders in the South Florida fitness industry by offering their members the areas top personal trainers and wide array of aerobic classes taught by master instructors.

 “There is no big secret to our success” Peter added “It’s all about hospitality, service, and helping people. It’s making the clients goals our goals. There’s nothing more rewarding then making a positive difference in someone’s life. After that” Peter concluded”….business just takes care of itself.”
